Best Recipe Sweet Apple Pie Covered With Christmas Scents

German style cake with a delicate sweet touch. The apple, as the main character, is invaded by different perfumes, lemon, orange, ginger, cinnamon . scents that announce the arrival of the Holidays.

  • 3 cups of flour (13 oz)
  • A pinch of salt
  • 3 tbsp of baking powder
  • Grated lemon rind
  • 7 oz of butter
  • 3 tbsp. of cold water

Apple jam.

  • 3 large green apples
  • 5 red apples
  • 4 tbsp. of water
  • 3.5 oz of raisins
  • 1/2 cup of brown sugar
  • Juice of half a lemon
  • Juice of 1 orange
  • 1/2 tbsp of corn starch
  • 3.5 oz of candied lemon rind
  • 3.5 oz of candied orange rind
  • 1 tbsp. of cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp of grated ginger

Pastry. Sift the flour, salt and baking powder.
Add the lemon rind and cold butter chopped in small pieces.

Integrate the butter with a fork until forming small lumps similar to grains of rice.
Take the pastry with the cold water and form a bun.
If necessary, add a little more cold water.

Place in a plastic bag and leave it in the fridge for 2 hours.

Apple jam. Peel the apples, remove the seeds and dice them.
Place with the raisins, lemon juice and water in a small saucepan. Take to a moderate oven for 5 minutes.

Add the sugar and leave for 5 more minutes. Dissolve the corn starch in the orange juice and pour it on the apples. Leave it for 2 more minutes, stirring and remove.

Allow cooling a little and add the candied rinds, cinnamon and ginger.

Pastry. Stretch the pastry into a rectangle and arrange it in a greased and dusted baking sheet.
Take to a mild oven for 8 minutes.

Remove and spread the jam on the surface.
Take to the oven again and finish cooking.

It can be served warm along with custard.
